Milano Design Week 2025
ANIMALIER KITCHEN
A domestic architecture that defies convention, a design piece that doesn’t follow the rules—it rewrites them.
The Animalier Kitchen was conceived as a manifesto of boldness and vision: an eclectic, unconventional composition created for Milano Design Week 2025 inside Casa Ornella.
A play of contrasts shapes its aesthetic: sharp volumes and crisp edges alternate with soft curves, in a delicate balance between tension and harmony. The base units, clad in green checkered mirrors, amplify the light and reflect the surrounding space, creating a changing and unpredictable scenography. On either side, two trapezoidal elements in Canaletto walnut add a rich material depth, from which three round metal uprights rise to support glossy red shelves—pure strokes of color suspended between art and function.
The wall unit is the heart of the composition: rounded side doors meet central round compartments, forming a rhythmic sequence of solids and voids. The objects displayed inside converse with the mirrored backdrop, which multiplies their presence and adds a sense of depth and mystery. The burl wood finish, with its retro charm and organic grain, is reimagined in a contemporary key, becoming part of an aesthetic narrative that celebrates craftsmanship—not with nostalgia, but with a visionary spirit.
This kitchen is not just a piece of furniture—it’s a statement of personality, a unique object that pulses with its own energy. Its identity is completed by a bold reference to leopard-print wallpaper covering the back wall, creating a visual continuum with the burl wood and transforming the entire space into a fully immersive experience.
For us, design is tailor-made—radical in its research and sartorial in its execution.
With this installation, we want to speak directly to architects and interior designers: no limits, no compromises—only the most authentic expression of an idea brought to life through materials.
And we do it in the perfect context: Casa Ornella, curated and directed by Maria Vittoria Paggini, whose elusive and magnetic spirit redefines the spaces of the contemporary.
A place where design is not on display—it’s lived.
